About the Job 

Multi Bintang Indonesia is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Brewery Technology Controller team. In this role, you’ll ensure product quality and safety through accurate sampling and analysis, covering physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory aspects on raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, finished goods, water, waste, and chemicals. You’ll uphold Heineken and internal quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Job Purpose

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety by performing accurate sampling and analysis, covering physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory aspects on raw and packaging materials, work in process, finished goods, water, waste, auxiliary materials, and chemicals. You will uphold Heineken and internal quality standards through disciplined execution, while supporting continuous improvement and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. #DoSomethingThatMatters

Main Responsibilities 

• Follow all safety procedures and report near misses or unsafe conditions.
• Conduct physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory analysis on various materials.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; ensure spare parts availability.
• Manage stock and documentation of chemicals and reagents.
• Perform non-routine testing as requested by other departments.
• Support TPM activities such as AM, 5S, audits, and improvement projects.
• Proactively develop skills and contribute ideas for improvement.

Candidate Criteria 

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Conversant in oral and written English.
• Strong initiative and good communication skills.
• Willing to be placed at Tangerang Brewery.
