Portfolio Finance Manager

Portfolio Finance Manager to make strategic decisions that are profitable and sustainable. This is done mainly through analysis and guidance on Promotion and Trade Terms. Role acts as business partner and advisor for both Commercial and Finance team in daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Revenue Management

Conduct analysis on current promotion and trading term to identify potential topline opportunities, e.g.:

  • Promotions: Continuously track promo performance (uplift, ROI) using promo analytics tool and set mandatory promo guardrails by channel, account, brand, pack type
  • Discounts & Trade Terms: Identify profit pool opportunities and defensibility risks, set Trade Term framework and guardrails; support Trade Terms negotiations.

 

  1. Revenue Management Tracking

Escalate out-of-guardrail promo or trade terms for sign-off

 

  1. Revenue Management Improvement Cycle

Drive continuous RM improvement cycle:

  • Conduct annual Trade term assessment; define opportunities and potential Alternative Proposal for Trade term negotiations
  • Train relevant functions within Multi Bintang on Promotion & Trading terms topics/tools

Drive continuous improvement of Promotion & Trading term guardrails & relevant processes within Multi Bintang

 

  1. Collaboration

Support other functions within company on RM topics & processes:

  • Support Finance on analysing potential opportunities for Promotion & Trading term
  • Support Sales with development of account plans and promo calendar within RM guardrails
  • Support sales on Trading term roadmap for future efficiency and negotiation planning

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor degree in any discipline, preferably Finance, MBA or Accounting
  • Experience (including Management Experience): More than 5 years of working experience
  • English Proficiency: Fluent (both verbal and writing)
  • 3 - 5 years of commercial & analytics experience, preferably in FMCG or management consulting
  • Experience in successfully guiding and managing small teams is an advantage

  • Strong strategic analytical skills – ability to review complex, ambiguous/incomplete data, pulling out key insights
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to search out facts without prior process/guidance
  • Passion for delivering result, take ownership and translating insights into concise practical plans for execution
  • Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing skills to win support and drive decision making at management team level
  • High level of cross functional cooperation: effectively partnering with communication, control, account & brand teams
  • Ability to visually present analysis, key insights, facts & figures in a compelling way; tailor content to audience
  • Commercial acumen: understanding customer landscape and how to get RM insights translated to shop floor
  • Experience of commercial and financial systems and governance
  • Experience with Nielsen data
  • Confident with big data; strong with excel, PowerBi and other data software
