Multi Bintang Indonesia is hiring a Channel Development Manager – On Trade, a strategic commercial role based in Jakarta. You’ll lead the development and execution of channel strategies to strengthen our presence in the On Trade space, working closely with Sales, Brand, and other teams. Job Purpose

As a Channel Development Manager – On Trade, you’ll lead the development of channel strategies that turn brand ambition into impactful market execution. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other commercial functions to translate insights into effective outlet plans, unlock new channel opportunities, and ensure strong visibility and performance across modern and traditional On Trade. You’ll also play a key role in leading a team, managing budgets, and driving execution excellence in a complex, fast-paced market. #DoSomethingThatMatters

Main Responsibilities

  • Build the On Trade strategy for Modern and Traditional channels, based on shopper insights and brand priorities.
  • Define and implement outlet standards (PICOS) to ensure strong brand visibility and execution.
  • Identify and lead new channel opportunities to grow our presence and performance.
  • Plan and review promotions and activities, ensuring they deliver strong results and align with business goals.
  • Manage the On Trade budget effectively to maximize impact and return on investment.
  • Lead and develop a team, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Brand, Revenue Management, etc.) to ensure seamless execution.

 
Candidate Criteria  

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience:

    6+ years of commercial experience, including 4+ years in Trade Marketing and 2+ years in people management.
    Proven track record in navigating complex and fragmented markets.

     

  • Skills & Competencies:

    Strong analytical thinking, planning, and communication skills.
    Comfortable operating in a “dark market” with high creativity and agility. 
    Fluent in English (spoken & written); other local languages are a plus.
    Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
