Head Environment and Safety

Position Title - Head Environment and Safety 

Job Grade - 30

Location - Bangalore HO3

Key Accountabilities

Safety Compliances and Audits

- Review plans to improve safety performance drawn up by individual brewery teams and provide feedback; Consolidate to develop the master plan/calendar for the Safety department

- Drive adherence to all safety-related statutory compliances across all breweries

- Prepare annual audit plan and calendar and drive adherence to laid down timelines

- Facilitate plant safety audits/inspections in coordination with safety managers and external consultants

• Collate audit reports, draw inferences on audit notes/non-compliances and lead corrective planning and implementation for each plant.

Safety Policies and Procedures

Drive adherence to all laid down policies and procedures across plants; Identify and mitigate deviations, as required

- Continually review policies and SOPs, identify changes/modifications required; Work with consultants to set standards vis-à-vis best practices

- Guide team to contextualize standards to UBL requirements, Drive implementation of standards across plants

- Coordinate with consultants to draw up safety policies, manuals and training content

• Provide technical guidance to team during design and implementation; Resolve complex issues faced by the team.

Personal Protective Equipment Planning

Determine the quality of personal protective equipment (PPE) at the plants based on technical specifications and requirements in line with compliances and requirements

- Set standards for PPE to be used across plants; Coordinate with P&L team to update PPE standards in the SAP system.
