Senior Manager Benefits & Recognition

There is a new opening on the Compensation and Benefits team at the White Plains office!


Area of responsibility:      This position is responsible for the design and management of all health, welfare, retirement and recognition programs for approximately 450 US employees, and will play a key role in leading the integration of benefits with craft brewery acquisition.  This role is a key strategist and operator within the Total Rewards team to help advance the C&B strategy and strive to create meaningful experiences for employees and managers at all stages of their employment life cycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, communication and management of all benefit plans, including Medical, Dental, Wellness, Life Insurance, Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Safety and Worker’s Compensation at all stages of employment life cycle
  • Act as primary contact with benefit vendors, consultants, payroll administrator, and regulatory agencies in support of all benefit plans, audits and reporting requirements.
  • Counsel employees on benefit policies, enrollment, procedures, leave administration and claim resolution, in partnership with People Business Partners and third-party carriers as required
  • Manage design, communication and compliance of 401(k) and 409(a) Retirement Plans, serving as Recording Secretary of the Employee Governance Committee and coordinating quarterly agenda with plan administrator and fiduciary advisors
  • Monitor external benefits market and provide thoughtful analysis on relevant developments to support management decisions; Comply with Federal, State and Local requirements on benefit plans by staying informed on new legislation and making necessary modifications, which may include policy related to the COVID-19 pandemic in collaboration with the Heineken Taskforce
  • Enhance employee engagement through oversight of recognition and service anniversary program in partnership with third-party providers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead aspects of benefits integration with craft brewery acquisition and serve as primary representative to oversee plan design and communications for both companies across consultants, carriers, third-party administrators and internal stakeholders

  • Proven ability to remain flexible in the face of change and changing priorities
  • In-depth understanding of HRIS, data management and self-service technologies


Background / Experiences:            

  • Undergraduate degree and 5-10 years benefits experience, including benefits administration, required
  • Demonstrated experience to manage delivery of services from external vendors and consultants
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint and understanding of HR data flow with downstream vendors
