The Senior Manager – Domain Architect in Digital and Technology (D&T) department will actively manage application portfolio to ensure architectural integrity, making sure that a proper technology / system architecture landscape is available to enable business operations and strategy to gain competitive advantage through digital solutions. Responsible for driving application rationalization, application lifecycle management, landscape simplification to reduce costs, increase flexibility and regulate technology environments. Facilitates setting of architectural direction for new and existing applications, evaluates new technologies, platforms and solutions against standards and objectives, and provides architectural guidance and oversight for HEINEKEN USA D&T projects.  

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Portfolio Management
  • Actively oversee and manage Digital & Technology application portfolio and championing improvement and relevancy
  • Lead application rationalization, architecture landscape simplification and cost optimization initiatives to perform effective application lifecycle management.
  • Identify architecture modifications to existing environments or integration of information in applications, which feeds into Annual Planning and Quarterly Portfolio Review governance.
  • Evaluate technology solutions to ensure adherence to architecture standards, strategic fit globally and locally, security, compliance best practices, and efficiency/effectiveness in the overall IT ecosystem.  
  • Closely collaborate with other Digital & Technology teams to ensure alignment with HEINEKEN global architectural guidelines and roadmaps.
  • Architecture Definition & Communication
    • Proactively manage and maintain up-to-date collection of system architecture artifacts (inventory, models, diagrams, assessments, etc.) of all current environments (SaaS, On-Prem., hybrids…etc.) including integration.
    • Establish and maintain architectural guidelines and standards for solutions including a core set of requirements used to benchmark new solutions.
    • Educate, enforce and guide other team members on standards’ purpose and content through various channels.
    • Catalog, develop, coordinate, communicate and maintain architecture standards, processes, principles, models, representation, capabilities and components.
  • Project Governance
  • Provide complete architecture review of new technology solutions which includes:
    • Clear architectural guidance, review and oversight of design and implementation of new or changes to existing solutions.
    • Providing technology requirements to be included in solution selection (RFP, etc.) and evaluation criteria.
    • Partnering with project team to depict how project’s deliverables fit with the existing landscape with architecture before/after diagrams.
  • Ensure conformance and compliance of projects and programs with architectural standards and objectives.
  • Partner with InfoSec team to ensure project deliverables consist of robust and secure solutions and patterns
  • Determine the direction for new and existing solutions evaluating alternatives and assessing their fit along with facilitating alignment with Enterprise Architecture.
  • Innovation & Technology Evangelist
  • Resident expert in the latest digital and technology trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and applications for HEINEKEN USA.
  • Discovery and identification of any solutions that might improve business processes or enable strategic goals.
  • Proof of concept experimentation
  • Promote technologies and increase adoption rate of preferred solutions within HEINEKEN USA

 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Deep and broad knowledge of information systems, technology, procedures and best practices in IT including cloud computing, database systems, enterprise data management, data integration, web services and APIs.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise and system architecture standards and best practices, compliance, auditing and enterprise solution development and implementation.
  • Understanding of business strategy, operations, drivers & needs
  • Curiosity and passion around technology and innovations along with ability to translate emerging technologies and trends into business solutions for the enterprise
  • Strong relationship management and influencing capabilities to establish a rapport with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to diplomatically challenge and influence direction and explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and strategy development ability
  • Embedded Continuous Process Improvement mindset and ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and taking advantage of unforeseen opportunities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience working in global environment
  • Experience working in consumer goods industry
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience with API development (REST/SOAP/JSON), Mobile Application development, MS SharePoint, PowerApps and PowerBI
