About the Role:

As a member of the HR Leadership Team, the Senior Director, L&D/I&D, will partner closely with the SVP, Chief People Officer and senior leaders to shape the L&D, Talent, and I&D strategies and roadmaps and design & deliver related solutions that have measurable impact on the business. This role is instrumental in building the capability and culture that will support HEINEKEN USA to become the most innovative and exciting U.S. beverage company. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and exciting global organization with an enviable portfolio of iconic brands including Heineken, Dos Equis, Tecate, Amstel, and Red Stripe

The Senior Director, Learning & Development / I&D requires a unique blend of expertise in learning and organizational development, culture and inclusion & diversity experience. 


Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

The role will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Learning and development strategy and execution
  • Performance management approach
  • Talent strategy and people plans
  • Inclusion and Diversity strategy including designing and executing the multi-year roadmap rollout and measurements in partnership with the cross functional pillar leads


Learning & Organizational Development responsibilities

  • Own and manage the L&D strategy with a focus on tangible business impact
  • Liaise with global peers across the organization to capitalize on synergies & maximize impact
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver leadership development programs
  • Leverage self-learning platforms and engage with global colleagues to ensure continuous improvement of offerings
  • Ensure robust measurement tactics are in place to measure and monitor the impact of L&D
  • Engage people managers to embed a performance-driven culture supported by fit-for-purpose processes and capabilities and manage related performance management approaches/processes
  • Ensure a strong leadership pipeline supported by leader-led performance and talent management
  • Lead the performance management approach and rollout in partnership with HRBPs
  • Design and execute talent strategy in conjunction with HRBPs
  • Partner closely with SVP, Chief People Officer, HRBPs, and Regional Colleagues in developing annual people plans


Inclusion, Diversity & Culture

  • Design and deliver the I&D multi-year roadmap against HUSA I&D strategy and focus areas and propose solutions that leverage data, trends, and best practice
  • Partner with the Inclusion, Diversity Council and Employee Resource Groups to foster belonging and inclusion for all colleagues
  • Liaise with other stakeholders in HUSA and Global HQ to advance the I&D agenda and impact
  • Develop and rollout Must Have Culture integration plans with appropriate capabilities, rituals, recognition, and change management
  • Collaborate with HR teams and Corporate Affairs to inspire colleagues to live the desired culture and climate
  • Manage the annual employee Climate Survey and mine for insights to drive continuous  improvement


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has solid experience in L&D, I&D, O.D. including understanding of external best practices coupled with strong business acumen
  • Has strong learning orientation and passion for evaluating impact
  • Is skilled at building partnerships and relationships at every level
  • Gets energy from a broad portfolio and is able to prioritize for impact
  • Likes to strategize as well as execute, utilizing strong project management skills
  • Has a passion for data analysis to assess where to focus, build business cases and has the ability to turn into compelling stories
  • Has strong facilitation and communication skills
