Manager Supply Chain Optimization

About the Role:

Heineken USA Operations aims at strategically supporting business growth and delivering value through the operational execution of supply chain activities. The role exists in a performance driven culture that requires a highly analytical mind-set and advanced ability to problem solve and a drive to implement strategy. This role will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the supply chain logistics costs and processes in order to improve performance. They will be responsible for analysis, loss deployments and short-term projects improving performance across the Operations Team.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Analytics and Problem Solving

  • Lead optimization of identified strategic metrics and processes to enable performance improvement
  • Leverage TPM techniques and continuous improvement methodologies to identify and prioritize waste reduction opportunities
  • Recommend potential operational improvements and efficiency opportunities
  • Conduct historical analysis, identify trends, and convert into insights and recommendations to influence future business initiatives
  • Create and promote development and implementation of best practices, effective systems, processes


2. Manage Vendor Freight Logistics Invoice Process with Third Party Logistics Providers:

  • Lead monthly budget analysis of actual performance to annual plan and quarterly forecast updates
  • Perform cost forecasting, estimating, reporting and risk analysis
  • Manage third party logistics service providers (LSP)s closely with the freight logistics costs, execute invoicing, auditing, and tracking
  • Conduct loss deployments with the operation teams and LSPs to understand failure modes, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Champion team tracking and planning drivers of performance and risks and opportunities to update key assumptions and projections
  • Drive business and process improvements through performance data and vendor collaboration

3. Project Management

  • Project manage short and mid-range improvement projects from initiation to execution
  • Model, plan, and track progress against key milestones and project deliverables
  • Review, identify processes, practices, and systems improvements and gain stakeholder alignment
  • Communicate plans effectively with key stakeholders throughout the project
  • Create a pipeline of potential improvement projects
  • Roadmap enhancements and projects to ensure evaluation and implementation


4. Network Design and Optimization

  • Evaluate network design and ensure competitive supply chain network
  • Perform data mining and analysis to assess the network for optimization opportunities
  • Create business case models for improvement or supply chain continuity




Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

The role requires a driven and analytically minded professional with these necessary capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of the role requirements and deliver sustainable business value.


•          Educated to Degree Level (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, Finance or other relevant subject)

•          3+ years’ experience in Operations / Supply Chain within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG)/

Alcoholic Beverage Industry

•          Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Skills and Power BI

•          SAP experience, a plus

•          IBF, APICS and Lean Six Sigma, Total Productive Management, Continuous Improvement Certification, a plus
