About the Role:

 

The HEINEKEN USA Category Development Manager, Reyes Beverage Group will be charged with driving superior sales performance through the direction, development, and delivery of beer category insights for Reyes Beverage Group.  Use your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to help our #1 Distributor grow category and brand volume & revenue.  This leader is accountable for driving insight-led presentations and forging internal and external relationships to think bigger and broader in what it means to win with distribution and assortment, category business reviews, shelf resets, innovation, and more.  Each of these roles is directly responsible for the category insights and process which fuel the selling materials that drive the HUSA portfolio across the East and West business units of Reyes Beverage Group.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Be the go-to LEADER and STAR performer for development & delivery of category insights for Reyes
  • Drive the Off-Premise insights and Channel strategies through compelling storytelling demonstrating ‘Why Heineken USA’ for all mandatory SKUs
  • Oversee the management and delivery of all HUSA-Reyes scorecards, selling stories, and assortment assets
  • Drive the HUSA assortment strategy that demonstrates the POWER of HUSA’s brands
  • Support development of the amazing HUSA National & Regional Sales programs as needed
  • Analyze price elasticities to determine optional selling periods, features, and competitive opportunities

 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Relevant Experience         
  • 3+ years Category or Shopper experience AND/OR  Regional and Independent experience (Customer Facing)
  • Proficient in Consumer Packaged Goods industry  insights tools such as AC Nielsen and IRI
  • Exposure to Shopper Loyalty Card programs and platforms preferred
  • CPG / Adult Beverage Industry experience preferred
  • Minimum 21 Years of Age (at time of hire)         

 

Preferred Qualifications (All of the above, plus…):

 

A strong, confident, engaging self-starter with industry and category (or shopper) expertise, with no fear in breaking down barriers and a determination to roll up sleeves to collaborate at the highest level.  Strong financial & business acumen and the ability to quantify the financial impact on assortment decisions and promotional performance.  Knows how to ask for forgiveness before permission and take risks while still building strong collaborative relationships.       Emphasis on collaboration and emotional intelligence to get the job done.
