Director, Americas Hub Insights & Marketing Capabilities
About the Role:
The Director, Americas Hub Insights & Marketing Capabilities is the key partner for the VP, Americas CMI and the Americas Regional Marketing Excellence Lead to
(1) be the champion of Heineken way of brand building and marketing capabilities,
(2) lead cross-market initiatives to build strong, healthy brands and
(3) provide insights services across smaller Americas Markets (ranging from Canada to Suriname).
This role will be a key partner in global digital transformation initiatives to ensure AI-enabled tools are reflective of marketing needs and deployed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Equity Leader: manage research relationships for the Americas and US. Drive thought leadership on equity building, applications to annual planning. Drive efficiency of running the program.
- Americas HUB: Maintain existing high level of service to wide variety of markets, including annual learning plans and brand planning workshops. Execute research in focus markets (division of markets to be decided with direct report)
- Heineken Way of Brand Building Champion: Ensure Americas marketing teams are living the brand building values of the company by creating a training calendar, sharing best practices and cases studies, etc. Supports VP, US CMO and Regional Marketing Excellence in this
- Cross-Market Foundational Insights: Conduct marquee market research that will understand key consumer topics. These are expected to be 1-2 per year. Cascade and share key insights across markets on existing research
- Community Building: Support VP and Regional Lead in creating community of CMI leaders
- Research Protocols & Standards: Cascade global standards across all markets, solicit feedback from markets. Support VP in discussions with HQ. Source market-appropriate solutions.
- Support global AI marketing initiatives, e.g. needs identification and deployment
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- 5-10 years of experience in Brand Insights, with at least 4 in client-side
- Must have significant experience with standard Insights activities (e.g. comms measurement, pack and innovation development, brand positioning, Voice of Consumer, brand health/equity) and executing relevant standard market research
- People management experience
- Proactive and clear communicator
- Comfortable making clear recommendations and taking ownership to ensure acted on
- Able to manage competing timelines and priorties
- Comfortable with ambiguity and having several stakeholders
- Good at setting expectations and project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish highly preferred
- Additional degrees or certifications in marketing or market research
- CPG or BevAl experience
- Global market research experience (client or vendor-side), with experience in developing economies
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary Range: $165,000 - $190,000 + Annual Bonus
