About the Role: 

The Analyst of Strategic Planning and Business Analysis will support the Senior Director of Strategic Finance, in driving HEINEKEN USA’s strategic and financial vision, business partnering for Support teams, planning for the future and bringing valuable insights to the table to improve strategic decision making. This role will act as one of the key support contacts for Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Finance. The Strategic Finance team seeks to increase shareholder value for HEINEKEN by setting and supporting delivery of challenging financial and non-financial targets within an effective financial environment. The Strategic Planning and Business Analysis team works directly with the Management Team (primarily the CFO) to set a strategic vision for the organization that maximizes our volume and profit growth potential. By working cross-functionally with the sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, corporate relations and HR teams, the Strategic Planning and Business Analysis Team helps build alignment across all elements of the business to drive effective business decision making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial performance vs. plans and forecasts, offering insights and analysis in any gaps in performance.
  • Assist in setting up and improving financial models, processes and reporting for new planning processes and requirements.
  • Oversee various elements of the Support functions budgets, monitoring actual cost development vs. forecasts and providing early warnings on deviations. Present results to the Support functions Management Teams.
  • Monitor and develop insights on the quantitative and qualitative (financial and non-financial) performance of the Support functions and communicate this insight through the preparation and delivery of streamlined reporting including commentary.
  • Create and drive cost efficiency analysis and execution, focused on areas of cost and value.
  • Support the implementation and cascade of policies and processes within the Support Function to ensure the integrity of accounting records and financial information.
  • Ensure the proper execution of business controls as identified in the Key Control Framework
  • Build presentations for key stakeholders, including the Finance Leadership Team, covering deep dives on performance.
  • Move the group forward on data transformation initiatives where applicable. This includes data management and reporting, as well as assistance in pulling detailed reports for analysis.


Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Functional expertise: 2+ years of experience in either external audit, advisory, or consulting with demonstration of analytic and information driven experiences.
  • Experience with information systems and related tools for staging and deploying information
  • Financial and Business Acumen
  • Proven experience working with large amounts of data
  • Excellent computer skills. MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel expertise a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels
  • Undergraduate Degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • MSA/MBA Degree
  • Big 4 Experience
  • Experience with SAP, COGNOS, and Planning Analytics (TM1)
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Other Languages
  • CPG Industry experience
  • Experience in support finance function
