Manager On/Off Premise Sales

About the Role:

The Premise Manager role partners with the Market Manager in planning and delivering the HEINEKEN USA annual business objectives for distributor partners, to include the attainment of volume, distribution, brand visibility and activation objectives for the HEINEKEN USA portfolio in the assigned channels or geographies. The Premise Manager must build high-quality business relationships with key retail accounts, and influential distributor personnel based in the creation of mutual value. Additionally, the Premise Manager will lead the execution of high-quality consumer engagement and experiences for our brands by delivering best in class programming within targeted on or off premise accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities and develop proactive market execution plans for assigned distributors and Specialists to achieve HEINEKEN USA objectives.
  • Manage the performance of all assigned distributors to drive attainment of total market goals.
  • Set execution priorities and expectations for assigned Specialist and manage the performance of assigned Specialists to drive attainment of individual objectives and total market goals.
  • Provide coaching for sales teams to develop a staff that is committed to value creation; highly organized; communicative; has a deep knowledge of HEINEKEN USA products, competitors, and the market; and possesses professional honesty, and excellence in follow thru in execution.
  • Develop strong functional relationships with key stakeholders throughout each distributor (brand manager, channel managers, sales managers/supervisors) to maximize executional focus and drive objective attainment.
  • Collaborate on annual business plans for assigned channels with Market Manager and key distributor personnel.
  • Manage execution of HEINEKEN USA monthly and trimester priorities by planning and leading monthly meetings within assigned channel(s)/distributor(s).
  • Effectively and compellingly present priorities and opportunities to distributor personnel in order to drive desired action/execution.
  • Working in trade 3+ days per week to coach internal and distributor teams.
  • Drive Excellent Outlet Execution embedment (PICOS) by collecting survey data in a minimum of 56 outlets per month and educating distributor and internal team on opportunities to drive continued improvement of retail execution in the market.
  • Lead the activation of national and local sponsorships (Major League Soccer, F1, other events), leveraging provided assets and resources to drive visibility and value for HEINEKEN USA brands and partners.
  • Manage the ordering and/or availability of selling materials for internal and distributor personnel, including point of sale (pos), sell sheets, sampling programs,and other resources as directed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Regional Marketing, National Accounts, Regional Accounts, Category Development) to ensure alignment on key priorities and resources required to execute against those priorities.
  • Manage local and regional chains that are not covered by Regional/National Sales.
  • Manage assigned agency partners and event resources, including training for consumer-facing agency staff, and collaborate with distributors on targets for these resources; recap results for improved execution.
  • Plan and manage T&E and tactical budgets to drive the highest return and ensure compliance with HEINEKEN USA policies.

 

 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong presentation skills required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 32 lbs
  • Frequent stooping, reaching, bending, twisting required
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit in vehicle for extended periods
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must obtain a valid solicitor’s permit (upon hire)

 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 + Annual Bonus
