About the Role:
The Manager, Category Development, Chain Accounts West will be charged with driving superior sales performance through the development, delivery, and presentation of industry-leading category insights for our retailers and distributors.  Use your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to help our Sales teams grow category and brand volume & revenue.  This person is accountable for driving insight-led presentations and forging internal and external relationships to think bigger and broader in what it means to win with distribution and assortment, category business reviews, shelf resets, innovation, and more. This role is directly responsible for Hispanic retailers, providing them with category insights that drive the HUSA portfolio.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Be a go-to LEADER and STAR performer for development & delivery of West category insights
• Drive the Off Premise Regional and Channel strategies through compelling storytelling demonstrating ‘Why Heineken USA’ for all mandatory SKUs.
• Drive the HUSA assortment strategy that demonstrates the POWER of HUSA’s brands
• Support development of the amazing HUSA Off Premise Regional Sales programs as needed.
 
A strong, confident, engaging self-starter with industry and category (or shopper) expertise, with no fear in breaking down barriers and a determination to roll up sleeves to collaborate at the highest level.  Strong financial & business acumen and the ability to quantify the financial impact on assortment decisions and promotional performance.  Knows how to ask for forgiveness before permission and take risks while still building strong collaborative relationships.
 
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years Category or Shopper experience AND/OR  Regional and Independent experience (Customer Facing)
• Proficient in Consumer Packaged Goods industry insights tools such as AC Nielsen and IRI
• Minimum 21 Years of Age (at time of hire)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPG / Adult Beverage Industry experience preferred
• Spanish strongly preferred
