Senior Manager Regional Marketing

About the Role:  The position is responsible for management and execution of all brand and regional marketing programs and working closely with the sales team in the West for marketing program adaptation, , local amplification of national programs, regional sponsorship activation, and driving executional excellence to deliver total business and brand growth for the California Zone.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop local brand, channel, ethnic and consumer programs in collaboration with our agencies, Zone(s) sales staff, finance, and legal teams.  Identify strategically aligned local sponsorship opportunities and develop local marketing plans (including in store retail activation) to support.
  • Manage the execution and sell in (internal and Distributor) of all national and local marketing plans and programs. These include: driving brand strategy, promotional programs, local media plans, POS activities, and special events.  Ensure consistency of message and Brand alignment across all communications. 
  • Drive executional excellence and continuous improvement of Zone level Regional Marketing programs based on measurement and evaluation of: program execution recaps, budget analysis and ROI.
  • Owner of annual and trimester planning for Zone level marketing activities (must be developed working closely with the Regional Marketing Director and Zone level leadership team to achieve overall sales goals). 
  • Responsible for Zone level budget planning and management including Regional Marketing and POS budgets.
  • Manage local HUSA marketing, media, promotional and sampling agencies.  Including management of Zone level sampling campaigns, creative execution, process, communication, execution, and recaps.
  • Develop expertise in local market landscape, achieved through distributor meeting attendance, market visits, crew drive participation, etc.  Provide feedback and key learnings to the Brand Marketing group to help drive strategic decision making and optimize market level plans.
  • Build and drive cross-functional working relationships internally and externally to achieve the West region annual goals.


Basic Qualifications/Requirements:


  • 4-6 years marketing  experience required
  • Field sales experience would be a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Marketing concentration a plus)
  • Experience in managing support agencies both sales promotion and advertising/media
  • Knowledge of Industry, three tier system, and key markets preferred
  • Position to be based in Southern California, reporting into the Region Marketing Director, West
