Regional Technology Lead, APAC

This role is part of the Digital and Technology (D&T) department of HEINEKEN. D&T is proud to bring cutting-edge innovation, strong technology, and advanced analytics to HEINEKEN. With speed and agility, we ensure HEINEKEN has the digital and technological competitive advantages it needs to deliver on its ambition. The Regional Technology Lead (RTL) is responsible for technology products including Cloud & Hosting, End-User Device, Collaboration Tools, Network & Insight enablement. Frequently align with the Portfolio Owner(s) with regards to demand management, developments in the OpCo’s, and the technology portfolio plans. The RTL is responsible for the flawless deployment of the technology products into the region. The RTL is the single point of contact for escalation on the technology products on a tactical level



  • Delivering input for the Strategic Plan for APAC (timeline 3-5 years).
  • Develop and maintain the technology Infrastructure Annual Plan for APAC (timeline 1 year);
  • Providing regional insights to the portfolios as input for the Portfolio Plan (timeline 3 to 6 months);
  • Translating Portfolio strategy into ambitious and clear objectives for APAC 
  • Ensuring the Portfolio Strategy for the technology products and the Regional Strategy and Annual Plan for the APAC are aligned, working in close collaboration with the RSL to cover the complete regional demand;



  • Ensure frequent alignment with the technology product owners
  • Ensure frequent alignment with the Agile Program managers
  • Ensure alignment between the Agile way of working for the technology products and the way of working in the region to create maximum business value
  • Ensure frequent alignment with the RSL


Business Value

  • Suggest improvements to the Portfolio Owner for Technology Products to create maximum business value 
  • Shape the demand & needs of the region into portfolio plans;
  • Drive the adaptation of the technology products into the region.



  • Tailors and ensures adaptations of technology products in APAC in an effective and efficient way.
  • Translates business requirements to functional and non-functional service specifications for the assigned area.
  • Drive the smooth acceptance and deployment of new or adjusted technology product
  • Responsible for deployment of new and updated technology products, working in close collaboration with the Agile program managers. 
  • Manage escalations on a tactical level with regards to the technology product
  • Manage that tactical issues are analysed and resolved;
  • Act as an expert on technology Products in the assigned area;


Embed the Agile way of working

  • Promote and demonstrate core principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility (being an Agile ambassador);
  • Facilitating Product Owners in challenging stakeholders when a chosen solution is not in line with the HEINEKEN strategy.
  • Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the region, with D&T, the Portfolio Owners, and the Product Teams.


Position Profile:


  • Agile mindset: For HEINEKEN the agile mindset is centered on four principles; focus on customer value, power to the teams, start quick and smart and learn relentlessly. As a Regional Technology Lead it is important that you own these principles and integrate them into daily life in the region
  • Qualifications: Bach's/Masters, Agile Practioner
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills. Able to explain complicated subjects in clear and simple business language; 
  • Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure including network, cloud & hosting, end user device management and collaboration tools.
  • Able to translate the Agile way of working in the Product Teams to the IT Service Management way of working in the assigned;
  • Can develop medium-term planning for the region in line with the strategic priorities;
  • Has the courage to be innovative: embracing ‘ICT’ innovation and computer possibilities to capitalize on opportunities to automate activities (identifies and uses proper tools and processes);
  • Ability to operate with energy, conviction, and commitment
  • Ability to facilitate the right debates and ensure clear and robust decisions;
  • Challenge stakeholders when a chosen solution is not in line with the HEINEKEN strategy.
  • Positive and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced with supporting a service portfolio of medium to high complexity
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in IT service management in an international setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform at high standards
