Regional Product Owner, APAC

Job Purpose

The Regional Product Owner (RPO) is a multi-disciplinary role with a key focus on the delivery of Products and Features to address the requirements and pain points of key stakeholders. The role has scope to coordinate the rollout of digital products at the Regional level ensuring that Global Products are implemented in accordance to the planned TO BE product architecture. The RPO supports OpCo’s from the Discovery phase ensuring the Product solution to be implemented is fit for purpose, works with global and regional vendors during the execution and post go live with Continuous Development bringing best practices from other OpCo’s in the region and globally with similar RTM. They are responsible for the coordination of Common features in the region both in Product delivery and continuous development and supporting OpCo’s with the ramp up of the product and ensuring continuous development is coordinated in the region following best practices.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Initiating, Coordinating and Executing the development of Products with OpCo’s.
  • Owning the vision, definition & strategy of the regional product or implementation and ultimately driving its success.
  • Define and communicate product requirements and specifications by thinking creatively and rigorously to solve legacy business problems.
  • Support the ramp up of Global/Regional Products and Services within the Region through the exchange of best practises in the rollout out of Products and Services in APAC.
  • Coordinating the development of common features within the Region, ensuring that features are customer tested in the Region, processes are standardised and development costs are shared between OpCo’s.
  • Continuous improvement of customer experience and satisfaction, coordinating customer testing activities within the APAC region.
  • Integration of best practices from Global and the Region into OpCo’s ways of working, finding opportunities for collaboration and product innovation.
  • Defining and prioritising requirements for the customer journey and the team development plans and driving a consensus on feature priority within the Region.
  • Support budget of the product including resources, investment, consultancy, and technology.
  • Working with regional/local partners and vendors to ensure their successful integration into Global initiatives.
  • Define and execute product roadmap for Heineken business.
  • Define metrics to measure the health and success of the product.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive up engagement for users.
  • Collect data, user feedback, and market research, and build a solid business case to support feature development

 

 

Requirements

a. Education

  • University degree or Bachelors, preferably Information Technology, Marketing, Management or a related subject.
  • Certification related to Agile Product Development

 

b. Experience & Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience, of which 1 year of relevant experience in Information Technology /Sales/Marketing and preferably eCommerce
  • Ideally, experience in FMCG industry
  • Worked with Agile and Scrum teams
  • Affinity for digital and domain knowledge in relevant technologies
  • Technical understanding of systems and technologies behind the assigned products, their limitations, scaling factors, and reasons for architectural decisions
  • Equally comfortable with building a business PRD and understanding high-level technical architectures
  • Thrive between the balance of customer experience and commercial needs, and that of ecosystem value and customer value
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and be able to break down barriers
  • Experience in presenting to senior management and building consensus
  • Turn business requirements into a roadmap broken down by quarters
  • Sound product and execution skills and ability to perform under tight schedules
  • Experience in building platform solutions, defining services and applications
  • Ability to balance priorities and multi-task
