Head of Digital Commerce, APAC

As Regional Head of Digital Commerce you are responsible for overall strategy and coordination of Hub’s activities including stakeholder (Regional, OpCo, Global) management. You will be heading a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Product, Data/BI, capabilities and ecommerce partnership managers. You will ultimately be responsible for developing the industry-leading commerce platform and accelerating the Regional roll-out of B2B and iB2C/B2C to empower OpCos to get the most out of ecommerce. As Head of Digital Commerce in the Region, you will be a driving force in leading and further developing the Regional Digital Hub.

 

You will report into the APAC Transformation & Technology Director / Regional Sales Director.

 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

 

Digital Strategy and Vision

- Translate ecommerce trends & developments into strategic plans for OpCos within APAC (23 OpCos).

- Supporting OpCos through the regional platform and partnership development (e.g Grab, Go Jek) to growing digital revenue.

- Prioritisation of the platforms (DDE, B2B, Drinkies, Six, EPOS) and monitor deployment through the region.

Talent and Team building

- Lead and develop talents in Regional Digital Hub.

- Support OpCos in building-up local digital teams.

- Create programs for hiring and digital talent development (including EVP).

Scale up / Ways of working

- Co-develop and lead regional kickoff, scale up and planning workshops with OpCo Sales, Finance and Marketing Director as well as the local eCommerce teams.

- Build BI regional/local dashboard capabilities to track results and identify business growth opportunities (e.g basket size growth and NPS tracking).

- Develop a consumer lead approach by implementing consumer journey making, competitive intelligence tracking and customer lead design.

- Think and act end-to-end across the entire value chain, e.g. for capabilities and data.

 

Measures of success

- Build and rollout scalable eCommerce platforms which can be used across regions

- Regional ecommerce revenue

- Online customer satisfaction and retention (NPS)

- Strength of digital community in APAC

- Timely and successful rollout of digital platforms in the region

 

In short
You have multiple years of management experience in a large scale, preferably international ecommerce organization. You have a commercial way of thinking, are a proven team leader and coach, and have a sharp eye for dashboards, KPIs, and data driven decision making. You are entrepreneurial, able to translate long-term strategy into concrete plans and take a leading role in driving people to reach common goals. You have strong affinity with digital and are eager to learn about running a successful ecommerce operation.

 

Required qualifications (knowledge and skills)

Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in business or marketing

 

Experience

10+ years of experience in a, preferably international, ecommerce organization

3-4 years experience in an ecommerce management function
