Purpose of the role:
The role drives the execution of the Channel Strategy and acting as a linking pin between HBI (trade) marketing and local team to ensure effective brand activation and brand campaign implementation. It optimizes investments, enhances trade execution, and implements marketing initiatives to maximize channel performance and growth.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
Channel Strategy Development
- Develop, communicate, and manage a channel marketing strategy that drives volume and revenue.
- Define channel segmentation, size and architecture updates.
- Support design PICOS per channel to guide investments and inform sales step of the visit.
Brand and Trade Marketing & Execution
- Development and execute, in alignment with HBI (trade) marketing team, national and channel-specific trade marketing plans.
- Implement in-trade execution guidelines, incorporating merchandising and category management principles.
- Support and execute brand marketing campaigns in collaboration with HBI marketing teams and local vendors.
Channel Growth & Sales Enablement
- Set strategic and tactical direction for channel marketing activities,
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments and continuously improve marketing excellence across the organization.
- Develop the Key Account strategy (i.c. Modern Trade and on-premise flagship outlets) to achieve company objectives, ensuring alignment with the annual commercial channel strategy and guardrails.
Shopper Insights
- Monitor competitor offerings to assess their impact on business performance.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Follow HBI policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain ICP to document, plan, and execute key programs effectively.
- Manage and control the ABTL budget of the assigned brands.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in business, computer science, or a technical field.
- 8+ years’ experience in FMCG environments
- Strong marketing, key accounts, channel and merchandising capability
- Exhibit strong leadership, problem solving, and time management capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a cloud-based environment.
- Experienced managing multiple sales channels.
- Strategic and commercial acumen
