The Supply Planner’s primary role is to generate a feasible and cost-effective master supply plan that meets the consensus demand, customer orders and inventory requirements. This master plan results in a tactical weekly production, procurement, and distribution plan. The supply planner supports on all the supply side S&OP processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for developing a master supply plan to be used within the end-to-end supply planning for offshore (not produced in SA) bottling.
  2. Maintain and ensure 3rd party contractual agreements and adherence
  3. Ensure 3rd party production is aligned to Heineken Beverages Policies and Specifications
  4. Coordinate alignment between sales forecast, demand and supply plans for 3rd Party Production
  5. Ensure production plans with 3rd parties to deliver the supply plan and adherence thereof
  6. Ensure adherence to raw material stock holding agreements with continues visibility of quantities, value and shelf life
  7. Coordinate and track bulk and dry goods supply (where applicable) to 3rd party producers
  8. Collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions to production and raw material supply challenges
  9. Execute all transactions with regards 3rd Party bottling on HB and HBI Digital & Technology (D&T) Systems
  10. In collaboration with HBI Logistics, manage full goods stock holdings at 3rd Party production facilities
  11. Ensure minimal waste and write-offs of raw material and full goods stock
  12. Coordinate all product changes and new product development with HB NPI.
  13. Maintain all cross functional business processes and role clarity with regards 3rd Party production
  14. Identify variations from the published master plan and develop recovery plans.
  15. Collaborate between HO Planning & Production sites.
  16. Communicate scheduled delays and changes with the relevant functional departments.
  17. Measure, analyze and report key process metrics, and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  18. Highlight critical material shortages.
  19. Manage stock out analysis.
  20. Compare actual vs forecasted volumes.

 

Job Requirements

B.Sc. in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Mathematics or B.Eng. (Industrial

Engineering) or related Supply Chain National Diploma (e.g.: SAPICS CPIM)

    1. Experience
  • 5 years or more operational experience in supply chain, inventory management, replenishment, and production planning.
  • 5 years of experience working in the CPG beverage industry.
  • Experience of hands-on information gathering, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and reporting.
  • Substantial Excel knowledge and ERP systems experience.
  • End-to-end supply chain knowledge and understanding the internal and external interrelationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
