Right now, we are looking for a passionate and self-driven Buyer (Energy field) to join our Procurement Department, based in Athens, reporting to the Procurement Category Manager for Supply Chain (12 month contract assignment).

 

The ideal candidate will provide support in building the category strategy, identifying the initiatives required and they will perform procurement activities for Logistics services and Energy contracts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development of category & subcategories annual strategy creation and proposes savings initiatives

  • Collects and analyses all data available to support procurement category strategy & planning

  • Investigate the market in terms of developments, potential new vendors and opportunities

  • Follows up in the execution of plans he/she is responsible of

  • Involved in the Source-to-Contract process ( RFI – RFQ – Tender – Supplier selection & awarding – contracting )  for his/her assigned initiatives

  • Supports the Procurement Category Manager when required for Logistics and Energy projects

  • Evaluates supplier performance where required and proposes improvements

  • Legal documents creation and maintenance in the system

  • Daily Calls and Meetings with stakeholders and suppliers

  • Act as point of reference for the company's Procurement Systems Support and users’ Training.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Economics related field
  • 3-5 years of experience preferably in a related role (FMCGs or industrial production work experience also preferable)
  • Work experience in SAP and other procurement supporting systems will be preferable
  • Strong Knowledge of Excel, advanced level
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong internal & external business “building and networking” relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels
  • Results oriented with value creation mindset
  • Willingness to learn and develop his/her skills within Procurement function.
