Strategic Business Controller (f/m/d)

 

What you will do

 

You will act as a strategic finance partner who drives performance, shapes the planning and forecasting cycle, and delivers insights that influence key business decisions. You will challenge assumptions, ensure transparency on financial results, and identify opportunities that strengthen long‑term value creation. By improving processes and enhancing financial governance you will play a pivotal role in elevating HEINEKEN Germany’s financial and strategic direction. 

 

Business Partnering

  • Maximize business performance by providing financial insights, scenario modelling, and profitability analysis
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, challenging assumptions and assessing risks and opportunities

 

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate and monitor the OpCo business planning cycle (Annual Plan, Rolling Forecasts, Strategic Plans)
  • Contribute to shaping the OpCo strategy through data‑driven insights and strategic financial analysis

 

Business Performance Management

  • Provide clear, actionable insights into business performance through KPIs, dashboards, commentary, and executive reporting
  • Identify root causes of performance gaps, track initiatives, and support performance improvement actions

 

Continuous Improvement, Governance & Compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting standards
  • Ensure strong financial governance and compliance across the organization

 

What you bring

 

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Controlling or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or a business partnering role
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
  • Balanced skill set combining broad financial competencies with strong business and strategic acumen
  • Fluent in English and German
