Warehouse Team Leader

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Standardizes the work of inventory management to what the company requires.
  • Ensures maintenance of the minimum and maximum levels of the different groups of products and materials based on the variation of lead time and consumption trend.
  • Manages the loading and unloading, inspecting. 
  • Plans arrangement of products and stock in and out applying the FIFO process.
  • Checks for damages and shortages of the stock levels and compiles data and submit the periodic reports.
  • Supervises the daily cycle count, monthly and annual inventory and submits gap reports accordingly.
  • Keeps records of all inventory including depletions and shelf life to perform the reconciliations.
  • Ensures all the warehousing assets and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
  • Ensures area sanitation and 5S standards are being followed.
  • Ensures compliance to standard and operating procedure through the use of SOP and checklist.
  • Partners with legal parties, coordinates and ensures compliance to legislations by preparing the legal documentation including the taxes license.
  • Reports, investigates and accurately communicates incidents, near misses and work-related injuries.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and health practices, handles violations and submits related reports on a daily basis.
  • Assists in budgeting and handles budget allocation and the petty cash expenditure.
  • Plans and organizes the warehouse staff and submits personnel reports including payroll data and medical concerns.
  • Coordinates with the warehouse manager on performance of warehouse staff and assists in the professional and technical development initiatives to meet monthly, seasonal and yearly objectives.
  • Proctors pre-shift meetings daily to debrief on safety, quality and concerns and share information for alignment and development.
  • Coordinates with the maintenance staff for any malfunction.
  • Participates in the daily meeting to align and manage expectations.
  • Interacts with suppliers and vendors to develop and maintain a favorable public image and promote good public relations when handling complaints and concerns or arranging with the customer service department to do so.
  • Handles the rubbish area and coordinates with third parties for disposal and collection.
  • Replaces the Warehouse Supervisor as required.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations and follows the safety culture at all times.
  • Acts as a safety ambassador and actively promotes safety and health practices in the workplace.
  • Dealing with the governmental authorities and make sure that all requirements are accomplished.
  • Responsible of the physical inventory on a daily basis and stocks level with maximum capacity. And to maximize the warehouse space usage and comply with the freshness policy.
  • Responsible to collect the required data on daily, weekly and monthly in activity level.
  • Responsible to monitor the productivity of his staff.
  • Responsible to monitor the efficiency of preventive maintenance of the forklift, life line, Man crane and check list on daily basis.
  • Responsible to achieve STI of his staff reporting to the job holder.
  • Responsible to held the DCS meeting on a daily basis. And actions follow.
  • Responsible for safety committee meeting.
  • Responsible for implementing MERP and evacuation drill inside the warehouse.
  • Responsible to evaluate, coaching and motivate the performance of his team.
  • Responsible to ensure and deploy the breakage and losses in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for the Periodic reports of the warehouse.
  • Responsible for implementing BBS system inside the warehouses.
  • Ensure the sustainability of the standard level of Hygiene.

 

Functional Competencies:

  • Deal smoothly the warehousing operation.
  • Deal with different cultures and backgrounds in order to improve / correct their attitude regarding safety
  • Escalate to plant manager/ line management safety and Environmental observation, areas for improvement and recommendation for improvements.
  • Paid all efforts to ensure continual Safety and Environmental compliance and performance continual improvements

 

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and coach the team in order to develop them and to add value to the Organization
  • Communication and Work Relationships with sales team inside warehouse, Sales Department, finance department, security and internal audit.
  • Manage the vacations of his subordinates (Warehouse Keepers, FLT and Workers).
  • Manage the annual appraisals of his subordinates.

 

Functional Authority: 

  • Shop floor tasks inside warehouse.
  • The preventive maintenance of the forklifts.
