Senior Commercial Business Analyst - Commercial Business Control

Scope of the Job

Make standard and ad-hoc analysis in support of the Finance team and the Function for Al Ahram value creation. Provide active role in the decision-making in the Function through modelling and presenting options. Be controlling point of contact for the function for selected areas. Support the development of Function strategy, modelling options for business scenarios to ensure effective business decision making, and track and advise the Function on performance against target throughout the year

Job Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Support the business planning Governance Cycle for the Function and support the Function management team in delivering the; 3-year Strategic Action Plan, Annual plan, and Monthly Rolling Forecasts. As well as delivering all related performance variance analysis (Monthly Performance Reviews)
  • Lead the delivery and update of relevant parts of Annual plan, in line with the 3-year plan and OPCO financial objectives
  • Plan, analyse and challenge functions
  • Monitor and develop insight on the quantitative and qualitative performance for the Function, and communicate this insight through the preparation and delivery of streamlined reporting
  • Act as a key contact to the relevant Functions for matters related to business performance and Governance Cycle
  • Support projects with financial input and analysis
  • Provide advice and guidance, and influence/strengthen decision making
  • Monitor and develop insight on the quantitative and qualitative performance of the the function, and communicate this insight through the preparation and delivery of streamlined reporting including commentary
    Knowledge and Experience:
  • Min 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid Accounting background, and familiarity with SAP
  • PowerBI and Master Data Management is a plus

  • Excellent English written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Multi task ability and work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and Target oriented
