Scientific and Regulatory Manager

 

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to promote ABC externally through establishing and strengthening relations with relevant stakeholders as well as ensure end-to-end compliance to all applicable scientific and regulatory legislations and Global requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 
  1. Partners with cross functional teams to provide independent regulatory guidance and support to product development teams for strategic planning, design and development, and compliance activities.
  2. Working closely with the Marketing team to accelerate from a science perspective the innovation and renovation of products to comply with international and local regulations
  3. Revises the artwork with Marketing and TC to ensure compliance with the local legislations and the international guidelines.
  4. Leads regulatory risk assessments at the early stage of innovation and renovation of product development, and supports the launch of innovative products locally, regionally, globally.
  5. Work closely with Legal to ensure scientific regulatory compliance across the company.
  6. Act as an active scientific regulatory representative on project teams.
  7. Increases the scientific regulatory awareness inside ABC among relevant teams ensuring scientific updates are done in a timely manner
  8. Ensures end-to-end compliance with legislations and aligns with all relevant stakeholders to ensure they have the required knowledge and understanding on how to apply legislations with support from Legal and Global and Regional CA. 
  9. In cooperation with the TC team, ensures food safety compliance and works on mitigating and solving any arising deviations with relevant authorities.
  10. In cooperation with the head of CA, identify, map and setup engagement plans to strengthen ABC position with external stakeholders (food safety and beyond)
  11. Represent ABC and actively communicates corporate and scientific key messages with relevant authorities such as trade associations, Chamber of Food Industries, NAFSA…..
  12. Supports in the the delivery of safe, compliant, and attractive products with all relevant functions as a key contribution to maintain consumer trust in the company’s brands and services.

Background & Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant study.

Years of experience: at least 4 years of experience in the same job.

Expert in the field of Food & Beverage FMCG industries, with proven experience and connections is a must.

Quality background and/or governmental experience is preferred.

Excellent Command of English language.
