Scope of the Job

The PMO is a role between the business functions and the Digital & Technology (D&T) department, with a reporting line to a D&T Lead, he/she works closely with one or more business functions. The focus is on operational (and sometimes strategic) business partnering, gathering and defining business demand through extensive understanding to translate them into suitable D&T projects/products and solutions. The PMO is responsible for delivering medium to large projects and improvements (via Agile/Scrum, Waterfall or Ad-Hoc) and coordinating support for D&T solutions across multiple solution teams or for the long-tail solutions. He/She is end-to-end responsible for a set of Medium to large projects and solutions, assigned to one or more business functions, which span across multiple solution teams or are in the long-tail.

 

 

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Be a partner of the business function, under the guidance of the D&T Lead, and work with business representatives (BPO/functional managers) in order to deliver and support a set of projects/solutions that will guarantee the execution and development of business processes.
  • Manage dependencies that influence the successful delivery of Solutions and the related business value and closely collaborate with impacted stakeholders within (Global) D&T, business functions, and external stakeholders.
  • Support in the selection of third-party suppliers, ensure compliance with OneTrust and Heineken Architecture guidelines.
  • Manages vendors on tactical/operational level. Monitors and executes the administration and budget of the delivered projects/services of vendors for projects/solutions in his/her domain. Actively drives improvements.
  • Understands business needs and requirements. Translates D&T priorities and project/solution portfolio to actionable items across solution teams and determines designs for the long-tail solutions based on requirements (functional, technical, budget, timing, etc).
  • Collaborate with solution teams and central D&T teams to align on decisions for initiatives related to the applicable functional area.
  • Contribute to the development of operational D&T plans and budgets, including annual objectives. Provides advice and analysis to the D&T Manager to support decision-making, adhering to rules, policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Identify, challenge and document the business, functional and technical requirements for initiatives in the D&T Roadmap
  • Execute and optimize mode of delivery for projects in scope (Agile/Scrum Product, Agile/Scrum Projects, Waterfall, ad-hoc, etc), under the guidance of the D&T Lead.
  • Successfully deploy a solution delivering the benefits at scale and pace, while safeguarding business continuity by ensuring all relevant organisational and technical changes are put in place.
  • Leads D&T development projects / RFC’s and closes the deliverables of a team to achieve specific goals and benefits and meet specific success criteria.
  • Manage the project portfolio. Coordinate the implementation of all projects for the reference business function(s) and define needed resources (internal and external). Ensure that the D&T solutions are aligned with architecture and security standards (security, GIS and strategies).
  • Manage the execution of all relevant tasks to ensure full implementation of medium to large sized projects in scope and on time.
  • Manage the budget both for projects and change requests for the relevant business function.
  • Define and execute a strategy to decommission designated long-tail solutions and consolidate in the platforms as part of our reference architecture.
  • Ensure agreed Service Levels can be measured and reported and reports on issues or contract related topics, in line with the service level agreement (SLA) and the D&T standards and guidelines. Actively drives improvements through service improvement plans
  • Full accountability on ISMA and Information Security procedures in his solutions, work closely with Cyber Security officer to ensure that his area is fully compliant.

  • Business continuity: accountable in creating relevant operating procedures for his solutions including crises management

 

 

Functional Authority:

  • Functional Subject Matter Expert, Lead & Own for appropriate system complexity, decide on multiple systems and applications of varying complexity
  • Independently manages complex programmes and projects involving broad set of stakeholders
  • Scrum Master and/or Product Owner of one or multiple products
  • Independently designs and owns support of Solutions in the long-tail and End-to-end medium to large Solutions across domain of responsibility, with a mindset of continuous improvement.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5y+ experience with proven experience leading digital projects with sustained business results in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Ability to engage project team and mobilize them to achieve strategic objective.
  • Subject Matter Expertise of relevant function business processes and operations.
  • Deep knowledge of information systems, architecture, application development, system integration with working knowledge of both real time and batch processes, web services and APIs.
  • Experience managing technology vendors, consultants and developers.
  • Experience with D&T security standards.
