OpCo Engineering-Maintenance & Automation Lead

Scope of the Job 


The OPCO Maintenance & Automation lead creates the strategy forward for the OPCO to implement the best-in-class maintenance management across plants, in line with the global direction and initiatives.  Leads and continuously improve the maintenance & Engineering management in alignment with production processes, using TPM methodology to achieve excellence. 


Leads the automation Masterplan and agenda, in alignment with global directions mainly in PCD security and protection of business continuity.  


 Leads and manages the reporting of the progress internally and externally “regional level” as well as management of best practices & activities such as support visits and different audits. 

Drives the development of the OPCO towards defined goals with focus on people development in terms of Managerial and operational competencies. Guide training programs and development opportunities within the business through aligning with HR people development in single agenda. 


Job Responsibilities 



Functional Responsibilities: 


  • Drives the PM pillar agenda implementation by coaching and supporting the plant management Team, Chief Engineers, Maintenance team Leaders and plants’ PM pillar members  
  • Together with the plants’ PM & AM pillar leaders he/she ensures that the agenda is being systematically followed across all plants, making sure that synergies and commonalities are leveraged. He / She is directly engaged with the different stakeholders/partners to identify and assess different opportunities to improve business continuity and optimized asset management. 
  • Supports the Supply chain driving system by providing regular follow up on the strategic action plans (teams and projects) and analysis of results 
  • Manages the implementation of the Change Management process/program in the OpCo and promote for zero loss mindset. 
  • Interacts with the finance department to provide the cost analysis (deployments)and the savings calculation report to the technical dept. stakeholders 
  • Manages the horizontal expansion of solution and follow up on the good practices implementation in the OPCO. 
  • Ensures a proper communication through cascading down new updates, directions and developments to all the stakeholders.  
  • Leads and coaches the PM pillar leaders, pillar members in all related aspects  
  • Conduct audits on ABC plants to check compliance , full understanding of methodologies and provides suggestions for improvements 
  • Analyzes performance indicators of equipment (e.g. efficiency, performance KPI’s) to identify loss reduction opportunities 
  • Ensure that there is clear operational alignment for the responsibility to achieve shop floor excellence e.g. focus on DCS/MoSF, change management, UPS.  
  • Support identification & transfer of quality tasks and analysis to A&PM team step 5 
  • Support the realisation of A&PM team step 6 across all breweries and plants 
    Leadership Responsibilities: 
  • Coach and Support the implementation of the PM pillar in the OPCO  
  • Coach and support the Chief Engineers & Maintenance leaders in the plants through organizing  regular meeting and site visits 
  • Provide training (formal and on-job training) to all the stakeholders on the PM agenda and methodology. 
  • Manage the implementation of the Change Management process/program in the OPCO and promote for zero loss mindset in all the organization levels  
  • Execute benchmarking internally and externally to support measures of world class performance 
  • Constantly seek and share best practices. Maximise Peer-to-Peer Network, Centres of Excellence and contributions to Global Standards. 
    Education, Certifications and Licenses: 
  • BSc. Degree, technical (Engineering or Technology) background 
    Knowledge and Experience: 
  • 5-7 years of experience in practicing Engineering, maintenance & TPM management systems, 
  • 5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing, Production or supply chain 
    Skills and Abilities: 
  • Ability to see the bigger picture in multi-year maintenance strategic development (i.e. prepare for next level of maintenance excellence). 
  • Knowledge of key TPM systems and tools (e.g. 5WHY, problem solving principles, tags, CILT, skill matrix, OPLs, DCS, safety maps, HPO) 
  • Related scientific knowledge in the area of maintenance and automation. 
  • Empowerment techniques which achieve employees’ engagement and ownership of a safe and sustainable culture
