Job Summary: The Lead Buyer in Procurement is responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, and coordination with various departments to meet the organization’s procurement needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the supply chain category in securing all materials and goods in accordance with the scope demands.
- Delivers materials and goods with the required specifications, on schedule, in full, and at the lowest possible cost.
- Secures all necessary SC materials and assures delivery in accordance with specifications, on schedule, in full, and at the lowest possible cost.
- Analyzes complicated data, finds pertinent issues, and produces suggestions to support strategic, tactical, and operational procurement choices.
- Participates in discussions to obtain the supply of products and services requested by Al Ahram Beverages Company (ABC) on the most favorable terms and circumstances.
- Identifies and pushes change to optimize stakeholders' and suppliers' relationships, goods, services, and procedures in a creative and challenging manner in order to produce business improvements in accordance with the procurement strategy.
- Develops and manages supplier relationships in order to provide commercially optimal solutions for all parties in accordance with appropriate Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Provides the necessary quotations for buy requesters to make purchase requisitions with the necessary precise requirements.
- Provides full and accurate import documentation to guarantee fast customs clearance and the avoidance of delays and demurrage fines.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical/Power; Mechanical/Industrial ;Electricity/Power
- Experience: Average of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement processes, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions.care
