External Communications Partner - CA

 

Job Purpose

The External Communications lead is an inspiring story teller who works on building and protecting Al Ahram beverages company reputation in the Egyptian market. This individual will help shape the corporate story and proactively tell it externally, with an emphasis on earned media and a focus on topics such as innovation, growth strategy, business transformation, social Impact, responsible local sourcing, sustainability, innovation, and agriculture. They will play a role in supporting on issues and crisis communications management. 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

External Communication & Crisis Management

  • Help in creating compelling brand story and messaging throughout different external platforms ( I.e. Social media, print media, digital media , website, editorials, bylined articles, speaking opportunities ..etc)
  • Support in managing and maintaining the PR agency relationship and ensure timely and effective delivery of agreed objectives and projects.
  • Oversee and ensures tracking of media monitoring, social media listening topics and report alert news or mention to head of CA and relevant internal parties.
  •  Conduct business climate reports, annual CA landscape reports, and economic bitesize reports to ensure the MT and relevant leadership team members have access to information that shape their business acumen and decision-making process. 
  • ensure the effective creation and execution of external communication content though ( example: speeches, press kit,  press release, blogs, articles, website and social media content ,  bylined articles , press conferences, etc.)
  • Support in managing relations with media through meetings and interactions with relevant media representatives and serve as primary contact for ABC media relations & inquiries.
  • During crisis support in the execution of assigned tasks of  the action plan for ensuring timely intervention with media to position ABC in a positive frame.
  • Effectively execute assigned tasks in the implementation of awareness programs through conventional media as well as social media
  • Undertake activities pertaining to strengthening ABC’s brand and nurturing of ABC’s corporate image
  • Conduct effective and creative  execution of Digital Communication Strategy .
  • Ensure the proper execution of social media strategy and calendar to advance corporate brand narrative  objectives with the general public
  • Manage, maintain and update of the corporate website and related assets.
  • Supports the execution of mandatory crisis simulations and reputation research as per the Global calendar.
  • Setup and execute relevant engagement opportunities (sponsorships, conferences, speaking opportunities)
  • Scan and spot opportunities where Al-Ahram beverages can receive reputable awards in local and regional publications and platforms.

 

Budget Management

 

  1. Spend tracking & Payment processing.
  2. Ensure corporate governance compliance to local laws and regulations and Heineken processes.
  3. Effective cost management and ensure best pricing through partnering with Procurement. .

 

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

Qualifications/ Experience / skills required per job levels

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mass media & Public Relations, journalism or Marketing
  • Min 5 years of experience in Corporate Communication & Brand Management
  • Excellent stakeholders Management
  • Very good knowledge of communications principles, methodologies and Tools
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal in English & Arabic languages
  • Flexible, adaptable; able to work in various and challenging situations, dealing with complexity and time pressure
  • Able to work effectively and build relationships at all levels in an Organization
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Critical business expertise and understating of business climate and challenges.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
