Export Development Manager

Scope of the Job

An export sales manager is responsible for generating and enhancing the sales of the products in other countries.

He makes sure that the products are made available in the international markets by analyzing the trends of the customers and developing sales plans and strategies to meet their needs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing and sustaining solid long-term relationships with our customers. 
  • Identify new business opportunities to acquire the potential customers from different countries.
  • Come-up with clear and ambitious strategic business plans.
  • Plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by understanding the customer and consumer needs and requirements in each market.
  • Make sure that the existing customers are retained and maintained while developing the new customers.
  • Create a catalog for our portfolio that can facilitate new customers acquisition and to grow the sales of our existing customers.
  • Manage the payment of the customers with the highest margins, ensuring that high a win/win business relationship, and a high contribution to the company’s foreign currency cash flow.
  • Grow the digital communication with the customer using the advantage of our digital platforms such as B2B.
  • Ensure that the all the sales and marketing activities are carried out within the agreed budgets, with high ROI.
  •  Take initiatives and efforts to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the export growth, procedures and activities.
  • Maintain strong communication with various internal stakeholders: marketing, Trade Marketing, sales, supply chain, and all other relevant key stakeholders to ensure the needs of the customers are met.
  • Monitor and analyze the development and changes in the Export market, business dynamics and market players in each country.
  • Ensure that potential demand in each market is covered by the current existing customer in that market, or more opportunities need to be discovered.
  • make suggestions to improve export products range based on the feedback received from the customers and based on our production capabilities and capacity.
  • Ensure putting the customers at the heart of every business plan.
  • Compiling reports on customers performance against annual plans and expected demand.
  • Negotiate with customers and meet deadlines for long-term goal fulfillment. 
  • Address and resolve customers’ pain points effectively. 
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to maximize profits through setting the ICP strategies that drive the business.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure order are shipped smoothly in the right time, with the right transportation quality.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in FMCG Sales Export exceeds 5 years.
  • Proficient in English. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • MBA in business administration is preferable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • The ability to build rapport with customers.
