Data and Analytics Lead - D&T

Job Purpose

This is a pivotal role in advancing ABC capability to leverage data at scale for descriptive and advanced analytics in order to drive growth and productivity. In particular, the Data & Analytics Lead will partner across key stakeholder functions, to identify the best Use Cases, ensure that the right business questions are being asked and framed correctly, while also bridging the “last mile,” to deliver the right insights to the right people at the right time in an actionable way that informs their decision making to drive better business outcomes.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Regional D&A Lead, develop the OpCo roadmap for data and analytics aligned to regional and global strategy, and drive implementation at OpCo level.
  • Ensure the quality and Automation to Opco Reports.
  • Responsible for the Data transformation and ensure reducing the workload and increase the business value.
  • Work hand in hand with the business analyst of each department
  • Act as D&A Business partner to key stakeholder OpCo functions such as sales, e-business, finance, marketing, supply chain, shared services.
  • For all OpCo D&A initiatives and use cases, ensure aligned understanding and clear communication of the strategic goals, desired outcomes, available data sources and current data quality.
  • Partner and co-develop D&A solutions (e.g. Adv Analytics initiatives & use cases) with Regional and Global teams.
  • Identifies and translates business demands/requirements into analytics use cases; manages analytics projects; drives the implementation and embedding of solutions across the business and promotes cost effective scaling.
  • Advocate the business benefits related to analytics by tracking the outcomes of each Use Case
  • Operationalize Data Management strategies into a clear OpCo plan to ensure adherence to Global data standards and policies.
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate deployment of D&A technology and tooling in the OpCo.
  • Ensure optimum solutions and processes are in place, leveraging Global and Regional Hubs for data ingestion, storage, governance, modelling, analysis, visualization and communication.
  • Ensure continuous improvement to and optimum efficiency in D&A processes and practices.
  • Represent OpCo at regional level providing input to D&A strategy and roadmaps development.
  • Facilitate Data/ BI / AA training, competency building and change management in the OpCo.
  • Contribute to develop OpCo D&A talents.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and D&A management best practices; and evaluate them for applicability.


Education, Experiences & Qualifications

  • Batchelor’s Degree in business, management, analytics, engineering, or information technology
  • 8+ years’ demonstrated experience with governing, implementing and driving data management and analytics activities. 
  • Experience in a lead role engaging with key business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver data & analytics solutions and projects. Experience with Data visualization such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the business and D&T environments, an appreciation of the importance of creating value for the business and the customer, with an ability to identify the specific business problems that can be solved with analytics.
  • Experience with incorporating data and analytics in decision making.
