Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for overseeing the procurement process for specific categories of spare parts, supply chain Materials within an organization. The role aims to strategically manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure that the organization's procurement objectives are achieved efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with organizational goals.
The role involves collaboration across multiple business functions to develop category strategies, streamline sourcing, optimize supplier performance, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Category Management:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories of raw materials.
- Drive category planning and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes.
- Ensure alignment of procurement strategy with the organization’s overall business goals.
- Ensures proper sourcing and searches for products to purchase until payment is received (end to end)
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure they meet or exceed expectations.
- Source new suppliers upon the dynamic demand of the market or the company's need.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Visits marketplaces in order to compare and benchmark providers and Identifies possibilities to find qualified and potential suppliers.
- Contract Negotiation & Management:
- Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Address any supplier-related issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Follows up on requests, open tenders, stakeholders, and leads on a daily basis.
- Works on purchasing orders, updates systems, monitors delivery and payments, and registers for taxes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Supply Chain, Commerce, Marketing, finance, operations, legal, etc.) to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Cost Management & Budget Control:
- Identify cost-saving initiatives and drive implementation to reduce spend within categories.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supply continuity, price volatility, and supplier performance issues.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, external regulations, and ethical sourcing standards
Key Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management.

Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings within a defined category.

- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
