B2B Product Owner

Scope of the Job



The B2B Product Owner is the main responsible for the development ABC B2B e-commerce platform, he/she is responsible for initiating, coordinating and executing all different projects and tasks related to the platform development and the integration of best practices from the Global B2B e-commerce platform into the local back-end.

He/she is also responsible to work closely with Sales, Trade Marketing and Customer Service in order to deliver ABC Digital revenue ambition.


Functional Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for performance and development of the local e-commerce platform
  • Understanding and adapting to key business objectives and strategy, translating business goals and needs into a product roadmap and backlog
  • Tracking budget, time, and scope of the platform development.
  • Create local user stories which is required to develop the different functionalities
  • Manage and closely coordinate with Global PO the full agile process of sprint delivery starting from maintaining and updating the product backlog, sprint planning, user story estimation and production deployment of common and local User Stories.
  • Develop support materials and train key internal and external stakeholders (ABC Customers, Customer Service, D&T) on key B2B topics and platform features by creating FAQ documents, frontend video tutorials, live training sessions, user guides for backend and masterdata use.
  • Conduct regular demo sessions for new feature launches that will add value to ABC (Trade Marketing, Sales, CS, D&T) such as new online promo mechanics, flash promotions, backlog orders, online payments, etc.
  • Perform all back-end maintenance activities and ensure proper follow up with stakeholders for an up to date platform (e.g. updating product insights, ABC news, banners, platform tutorials, FAQ, outlet registration)
  • Support and organize together with Deployment Lead regular customer panel sessions and field visits to better understand the customer needs. Customer centric
  • Support digital campaign manager in all RFM related activities in Egypt aimed to increase and generate value for ABC by increasing AOF and AOV
  • Coordinate with AMEEE and Global B2B teams to ensure that the platform is up to date.

  • Able to differentiate different shopper needs and act upon in order to achieve ABC digital ambitions.
  • Understand ABC Route to Market and its implication on the platform.


Leadership Responsibilities:


  • Champion the B2B, coach the sales team and the customers about the benefit and the transformation of e-commerce.
  • Support in driving Customer Centricity framework within the OpCo by developing the OpCo touchpoint strategy and customer journey mapping.
  • Actively research / check for digital disruptors in FMCG industry developments, best practices & competition benchmarks.
  • Advocate and lead by example in implementing the Agile methodology; MVP approach, product backlog, sprint planning, setup regular standups with key stakeholders.



Education & Experiences

Educational Background

Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics

Years of Experience

3-6 years of relative experience

Qualifications & Other Requirements 

Excellent command of English Language
