The Sr. Brand Manager will support Heineken Canada continue building the capabilities and deploying brand strategies to scale our business.             

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support in the continuous improvement of our capabilities together with current and future business partners.
  • Lead the process to enable ‘the Heineken way of doing Marketing’ with our strategic partners.

BRANDS STRATEGY

 

Overall duties will revolve around building marketing brand plans and executing them while bringing business analysis and project management. This role will be responsible for the development,

implementation and execution of marketing initiatives and activities including integrated campaigns (digital/social, event/experiential, trade, media) via direct team management and

partnering with cross functional teams.

 

  • Work cross-functionally (sales, marketing, innovation, consumer insights, etc. in Region/Global) to ensure solid implementation of approved brand plan.
  • Support the ongoing analysis of category, competitive and consumer trends
  • Support Marketing VP in the management of business relationships with agencies and vendors
  • Ability to analyse price and product positioning vs category
  • Interaction with sales teams and on occasion, key distributor personnel in support of sales efforts and execution of marketing programs.
  • Ensure timely implementation of approved plan and quality execution in market.
  • Assist in the development, testing and go-to-market plan for all new products.
  • Prepare presentations for executive updates, internal and external sales and retailer meetings, innovation updates, etc. as required.
  • Partners closely with the Marketing VP to assist in the development of brand strategy, brand vision, consumer communications, and creative asset development/adaptation.
  • Support Marketing VP to develop annual brand plan based on market data and relevant consumer insights.
  • Supports the development of break through creative ideas that align to the brand mission, connect authentically with current and future consumers, and ensures consistency of brand voice and visual identity across all channels.
  • Manages project budgets through effective communication, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proven experience in consumer research and analytics as well with working with agency teams

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Education:           University degree in Business/Management/Marketing required
  • Experience:          At least 5 years of experience in Marketing working with agencies
  • Know-how:           Knowledge of HNV ways of working (Preferred)                                    
  • Languages:          English fluent (French is a plus)
  • Office Suite:         Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Power BI

  • Knowledge and experience with of a wide range of marketing functions: traditional/non-traditional advertising, digital/social, experiential, shopper/retail.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, creatively, and executional when developing marketing strategies, tactics, and initiatives.
