Titre: Data Analyst
With the creation of a Business Intelligence center, Alken Maes aims at gathering all the business analytics and reporting roles to build a cutting-edge structure to accelerate insights creation, collection and delivery to the operational Business teams (marketing, out of home & off-trade).
It enables organic development and accelerate capability growth by elevating analytical & data-driven skills and mindset throughout the OpCo. By combining all fragmented business intelligence capabilities, it leverages cross-functional collaboration and learning by ensuring intelligence profiles are embedded together to increase their development. The Business Intelligence Centre have E2E responsibility in this field consolidated in a roadmap and agenda.
YOUR JOB
As a Data Analyst you support our ambition to become a data-driven company. You source, develop and run new and existing Data Advanced Analytics models like iDDM, DDS or internal Marketing Mix modelling (MMM). You act as a business partner by delivering key & strategic insights from different analysis to the different business teams (marketing, out of home, off-trade). By leveraging the data centricity agenda, you will also have a role of increasing data-driven capabilities & expertise throughout the company by creating cross-departmental hubs and gateways.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Embed a data-driven mindset within the organization
- Use data to support, challenge and inspire our business stakeholders with actionable information and insights about our commercial tactics
- Push the business teams in taking fact-based and data-driven decisions on high impact topics
- Educate business stakeholders on new data capabilities and assets
- Constantly challenge the Way of Working by showcasing how we could enable business problem solving through data analytics
- Embed consumer centricity and data-driven marketing into the brand teams’ way of working and capabilities
2. Run several data-driven projects (MMM, DDS, iDDM…) and play a critical role in delivering actionable insights based on key business questions (80%)
- Participate to the development of our data-driven learning agenda
- Build the right analytical schemes to test our different scenarios (iDDM, DDS) and assess tests feasibility
- Ensure a good match between business questions and tooling capabilities
- Use existing models - mostly (adapted) from Global/external partners - to run analyses
- Turn results of analytics to actionable insights
- Use the relevant platforms to share these insights with business stakeholders so that they can implement it widely in their day to day activity
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a professional Bachelor or Master in Economics or similar;
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in data strategy, data advanced analysis, data modelling or data management either client side in FMCG or retail;
- You have an educational background in IT, Advanced analytics, engineering, computer science, or marketing;
- You have an understanding of web fundamentals (e.g. JavaScript, cookies, tagging);
- A hands-on expertise in: Google Analytics / Adobe Analytics, Alteryx, Jupyter
- You have a strong analytical and critical mindset and you are creative in looking for improvements;
- You work very precisely, and you have an eye for detail;
- You are very pragmatic, pro-active and hands-on;
- You are a team player and solid in stakeholder management;
- You have good communication skills and you find it easy to maintain contacts with different stakeholders;
- You have a demonstrated experience with governing, implementing and driving advanced data analytics activities;
- You are eager to learn, and you can easily respond to change;
- You are trilingual (Dutch/English/French).
